FIFTEEN YEARS AND COUNTING!!!!
2006 was a very special
year for TOO MUCH SYLVIA . . . . It marked our
FIFTEENTH year as in existence as a band! April 6, 1991
was when we played our first gig as TOO MUCH SYLVIA at Phiefer College in Misenheimer NC!
During the past 15
years, as of January 1, 2006, we have played
1,365 shows. All types of crazy parties and places
including festivals, fundraisers, company parties, bars,
concerts, county fairs, birthday parties, Christmas
parties, country clubs, Bar & Bat Mitzvah’s, proms,
church’s, fraternities, sports events, an old folks rest
home, 392 wedding receptions, 2 for the same
groom but different wife and oh yeah . . . 3 divorce
parties with the theme song “Kiss This”! Whew!
We’ve recorded and
released one CD, “Ain’t That Enough”, a video of “The
Monroe Mambo”, three promotional videos, recorded 32
different songs for promotional reasons, 7 professional
promo photo sessions (ugh!) . . . we’ve been pretty
busy.
A special thank you to
all of our families who have certainly supported what we
love to do. Fortunately, TOO MUCH SYLVIA has enabled us
to support them also!
And finally, THANKS, to
all you folks who have given us the opportunity to bring
some fun into your lives through our music. How lucky
can we four guys be . . . to continue to play music and
have fun, a hundred nights a year!!!!!
